There are a few upcoming community events of interest.

TUES, NOV 6, 7 am-8 pm: ELECTION DAY for school board directors in Rush City and Forest Lake School Districts, and for the Referendum in Chisago Lakes Schools. For specific voting locations, visit http://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/.

TUES, NOV 6, 9-10:30 am: I am hosting the "North Branch Business Roundtable" - an informal discussion with business owners and managers in the North Branch area to discuss challenges and opportunities for the area business community. Location: North Branch Chamber of Commerce office at 6063 Main Street. Coffee and treats provided.

SAT, NOV 10, 2 pm.: Veterans Day service, Chisago County Veterans Memorial in Lindstrom.

SAT, NOV 10, 6 pm: VFW / American Legion Veterans Day Dinner, Chisago City Community Center (cost: $11).

I will be in Sacramento, California this Wednesday until midday Saturday, for an Energy conference sponsored by ACEEE (American Council for an Energy Efficient-Economy). Unfortunately, I don't return in time for the midday service in Lindstrom, but I hope to see you at the dinner in Chisago City. Hopefully, time will permit sending an update from Sacramento with conference information, later this week.
